Whether your therapist suggests that you start writing about eating disorders or you decided to start on your own, there are many benefits to the practice. However, not everyone writes about their eating disorder experiences for the same reason. 

Why You Should Try Writing About Your Eating Disorder

I started writing about my eating disorder as a way to make sense of what I was going through. I wrote poems, mostly, and in those early years, never dreamed I'd share my struggle with an audience. 

In this video, I share what I think are the two main reasons people start writing about eating disorders, as well as why I think it is a powerful tool for collective recovery.
