Is there anyone who has or is presently participating in the BASE program at Midtown Community Mental Health Center?
If so, would you be kind enough to tell me about your experience. I am seriously considering joining one of their groups.
Thanks so much in advance.

That's really fascinating. I have heard of Schema Therapy a few years ago but didn't look into it very far. There's a lot of stuff that it deals with that is classic BPD symptoms, so I think I will look into it more and see what I can do on my own because it sounds very helpful. Heck, it sounds super helpful for most people to do it, not just ones with a dx of BPD, etc...
Do you have any good links and info you can share that you've already dug up and/or used?

The schema therapy web page is www.schematherapy.com. Wikipedia also offers an easy-to-understand summary of schema therapy and how it works, although it doesn't go into a great deal of detail. Only one hospital in the United States, LaRue D. Carter Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis, offers a long-term inpatient schema therapy program. Midtown Community Mental Health Center of Indianapolis offers the outpatient Borderline Awareness and Skills Empowerment (BASE) program. That's it for the resources I have.
