This video is a prime example of seasonal affective disorder (SAD). This is a type of depression that happens at the same time frame every year. Like most people, your 'holiday blues,' start to kick in around the winter months when there is less sunlight. Women and people who live in the northen latitudes are more likely to have seasonal affective disorder. But not all people have these symptoms in the winter months, it can also happen during spring and summer. In either form, these feelings start out mild and become more bothersome as the season progresses. There is treatment for seasonal affective disorder. Psychotherapy, light therapy, and medications are all successful ways of treating SAD.
