About Dr. Sydney Savion, Author of Living A Blissful Life Blog
You are the author of your life. Be intentional and purposeful about creating and sustaining the life you desire to live. ~ Dr. Sydney Savion
Dr. Sydney Savion is an applied behavioral scientist, member of the American Psychological Association and scholar-practitioner in the field of life transition for more than a decade. She views life transition as a gradual psychological progression of questioning self, others, the situation, seeking a new direction, and a quest to start to anew. It is a natural part of living that is triggered by an event that has a momentous impact upon and changes a personās life ecosystem in a manner that demands a person to cope and adjust. For example, this event could be a loss of a loved one, a marriage, your mental health, or even livelihood.
Author of Two Books on Life Transition
After 20-years of distinguished reserve and active service in the United States Air Force, Dr. Savion retired as a commissioned officer. Being moved by those challenged by life transition inspired Dr. Savion to author the popular book Camouflage to Pinstripes: Learning to Thrive in Civilian Culture and co-author a second book Bliss: Unleashing Happiness in the Mind, Body and Spirit. She has written and contributed to hundreds of articles including stories appearing in Forbes, USA Today, and on NBC News. Dr. Savion holds a behavioral science-based Doctorate of Education degree from George Washington University. An extension of her body of work is aimed at empowering you to create your bliss, feel better about yourself and to discover a more joyful and fulfilling life. And she plans to help you do that by offering no-nonsense advice on the Living A Blissful Life blog.
