Shift Your Mindset From Scarcity to Abundance and Gain Time

May 11, 2016 Arley Hoskin, CMPS

Something remarkable happened when I shifted my mindset from scarcity to abundance. This shift from scarcity to abundance somehow, some way, freed up energy and created more time in my days.

Scarcity Mindset Drains Your Energy and Ability to Feel Abundance

Shift your mindset from one of scarcity to abundance and you'll have more time in your days. Losing the stressful energy over time, creates time. Read this.A few weeks ago, I was feeling stressed about not having time for something. As a single mom, the scarcity of my time always seems present. I spend so much energy worrying about all the things that I don’t have time for that I often am not present for the current moment. I find myself often feeling stressed.

So, one day it hit me—what if I just stopped living with this sense of scarcity? What if I went through my days with idea that I have all the time in the world?

My daughter wants me to read her one more story before work? Sure. If I feel like taking a mid-morning walk around the block? Why not? If I want arts and crafts after dinner? Of course, I have time.

The strange thing is that when I had the mindset that I had all the time in the world, it suddenly seemed like I did. I had no idea how much energy I had wasted worrying about my scarcity of time.

An Abundance Mindset Prioritizes What Scarcity Won't Allow

When I shifted my mindset from one of scarcity to one of abundance, I realized that my brain automatically prioritized my tasks. If you think you have enough time to do everything, you naturally prioritize the most important things and do those things first. And I found that at the end of the day, I really wasn’t concerned about the things that I didn’t get to when I had this mindset.

I know what you may be thinking: "what about deadlines and responsibilities?"

You can absolutely make the shift from a scarcity mindset to an abundance mindset even if you have deadlines and responsibilities. When you do those tasks first with the awareness that you will have time for the other things on the list, you will find that you can focus better and are far more likely to actually have the time for those other things.

I also found this shift in mindset to be one more way to help me stay positive.

Go Ahead! Shift Your Mindset From Scarcity to Abundance

So what are you waiting for? Make the shift from a mindset of scarcity to a mindset of abundance. You will find that this frees up your energy to create time for the things you love.
