Borderline Personality Disorder and the Search for Hope

March 21, 2011 Becky Oberg

I tried to brainstorm an analogy for hope when I realized I was standing in it. Literally. I was in my garden, and gardening is what happens when hard work meets philosophy and spirituality. Gardening requires hope--hope for the right weather, hope for good seed, hope for recovery from any unexpected events.

In the same way, recovery from borderline personality disorder (BPD) is an exercise in hope.

Yummm quinoa. 1/16th of an acre...that's a lot of quinoa. Thanks for your metaphors. I hope Indianapolis grown quinoa tastes great!
