I've been in eating disorder recovery for over 10 years now, and in that time, I have learned some important lessons in what to do--and what not to do--when it comes to supporting my own recovery in the holidays. Practicing these tips has turned these occasions from events I dreaded into events I enjoyed. They've given me the ability to focus on family over food and love over fear.
