HealthyPlace Wins 6 Web Health Awards

HealthyPlace Mental Health Newsletter

Here's what's happening on the HealthyPlace site this week:

It's nice to be "officially" recognized for doing a good job. And this week, we were notified that HealthyPlace won 6 Web Health Awards, including the Silver Award for Best Health Website. The competition was stiff, considering we were up against the likes of great health sites like WebMD, Everyday Health, and Mayo Health.

Every day, for the people who work at HealthyPlace.com, our goal is to provide trustworthy information and useful resources for understanding mental health conditions and seeking appropriate treatment. Managing a site the size of HealthyPlace takes a true team effort and our fantastic mental health bloggers are a big part of that team. This year, three of them won Web Health Awards for Best Health Blog.

  1. Silver Award - Life with Bob blog by Angela McClanahan. A blog about parenting a child with a mental illness.
  2. Bronze Award - Breaking Bipolar blog by Natasha Tracy. This is the second year in a row, Natasha has won a Web Health Award.
  3. Merit Award - Surviving ED blog by Angela Lackey.

We congratulate our award-winning bloggers. You can too by leaving a comment on their blog.

HealthyPlace won 2 other big awards:

  1. Silver Award for Best Audio Webcast for the HealthyPlace Mental Health Radio Show. The show we submitted was "Surviving Child Abuse". Paula talks about surviving child abuse at the hands of her mother, who had Dissociative Identity Disorder. Take a listen.
  2. Silver Award for Best Interactive Health Content for our free, online psychological tests.
